NYC album product picks

Back in May I want to New York City with my Mother-in law, sister-in law and my mom. We had the best trip and NYC will always have a special place in our hearts! I did a little post about it HERE. I knew the whole time that I would make a whole album (maybe not WHOLE album) to document our fun trip. So here are most of the products that I have set aside to use.
Pretty much all my embellishment, photos, and letter stickers are kept in this box from Ikea (its an old one). Im really liking that everything that I would need is here and I dont have to go look for something that would work. Let take a closer look at whats inside.

Here are some of the letter stickers I have pulled out for this collection. I must admit I have gone back to my stash and used other ones. But thats something I let myself do because I knew not all these would work for all the layouts and I would eventually run out of letters.

This is what I call the "sticker" embellishments  its a mix of different company's and collections but they work well with the paper I have picked. It seems like a lot, but I noticed that I don't really use that many stickers, so I'm really hopping to make a dent in my stash and push myself to use what I have.

This is what I call the "small" embellishments. Mostly brads and stamps, and cameras! I love the way Shimell.com has a repeating "theme" going through her travel album, and thats craft cardstock and cameras, even though all the papers are different. My papers are pretty much the same through out the album but I just LOVE all the camera motif out there right now and I wanted to take advantage and add it to my NYC album too.

This is the washi Tape I'm hoping to add in my pages. I too many that i don't use and would love to add more of it in my pages. And Polaroid frames and some old Amy Tangerine product im hoping to use up.

These are the large chip board and sticker sheets that came with the papers I'm using. I love everything about them!

Along with the paper these I did not put in the Ikea-box-of-goodness I was worried that the cut-aparts would get lost or forgotten with the other fun embellishments I had pulled out so it has its own little tray.

Last but not least, the paper! The main paper I'm working with is Crate paper "story teller" collection. Then I added Simple stores called Urban traveler, and also pulled out an older collection by Basic grey but don't remember the name.

And all that's left is my Photos and memorabilia, these live in the Ikea box.
Hope you come back soon and see what I'll be doing with all this pretty product! As of right now I have 12 layouts! Yay! I've been working hard and has so much fun! I'll be post more soon!

Yikes! its been too long

It feels as if I have deserted you, and I guess I really have. Tell you the truth I had lost my motivation to scrap or blog. But I feel the need to still keep in touch and update once in a while. I'm not making any promises. As for loosing my motivation for scrapbooking, its true. For the last month, I'm so overwhelmed with all the beautiful pages I see and the colorful new products, but when I sit down, nothing happens. My fingers don't seem to work right and my mind is else where. There has been a lot going on. We're even closer to finishing and moving into our home,  I've started quilting, got back from NYC a few weeks ago, and summer its pretty much here (my least scrapbooking season of all).
As for the house, we are working on tile for the floors, cabinets are installed, counter tops will be sometime this week, and mill-work will be painted once the tile is done. Oh and the hardwood is sanded and stained! Its awesome! We're really hoping to be moved in by 4th of July. We're tired and really want our own space and home.

Quilting! I know! Didn’t really think I'd get into it. Last time I did quilting when I was about 10. My mom showed me how to use the sewing machine and told me starting making a quilt (I asked her for one, and we made it together). I finished one to use out doors and it one interesting experience, I remembered why I didn’t like sewing in the first place. And I started to make one for my son Ben, but haven’t finished cuz I keep taking over the dining room when everyone else would like to have lunch. So I'm waiting to move in and have my own space to craft before I finish it and start any other projects.

And NYC! It was amazing! I totally want to go back, I miss the crazy busy city! It was a bit of a spontaneous trip with my Mother-in-law, sister-in-law and my mom, but totally cool! We spent 3 nights and 4days exploring the city and its business. I was telling my hubby that I wouldn’t want to live there but I would love to be able to travel there for work for a few days. Its so different from Seattle or anywhere else I’ve been and we all loved it!

So other then that, its the same old. Home with Ben, work on the house and spend time with family. Good news is that I will have new layouts to share with you all, hopefully soon, and hopefully I'll be motivated to blog. See ya around!

Baby it's Cold Outside- party

So lately I've been busy with some fun party stuff. If you follow me on instagram you'll know what I mean. My oldest brother and his wife are having there first child together! Everyone is so excited for them and can't wait to meet little Adam (love that name, and not only for the fact that I'm Eve). When we found out they are having a boy I know right away I needed to put together a shower. A while back on Hostess with the Mostess blog they had a freebie of printable, HERE. Its so sweet and cute, so we took those down loads and made our shower with them. Here are some photos of the decorations I put together with my mom!

We made a hot cocoa bar/ sweets table! it was a hit!

So happy with the way my circle banner turned out! I want to hang it in my sons room now!

My mom thought of hanging baby "laundry", and this is the "wishing" tree with note cards.

One of the activities we did was to make Onsies for the babys first months

Cali Journey- Daybook

So excited to share this day book that I've put together! The products I've used was mainly by Crate Paper called story teller, Amy Tangerine stickers and a little bit of Basic Grey, oh and Studio Calico wood veneers. On my bday Haul HERE, I talked a little bit about how I totally fell in love with the crate paper collection and knew just how to put it to good use, well here is the final project and I love it! Every one is into day books lately so I thought I'd give it a try. This trip is a bit old (2009), I even made a layout about it, but felt like I didn't tell the whole story through a 2 page layout HERE. So this was the prefect project to do everything i wanted. All I have left to do is the journaling to finish everything off. Anyways Enjoy! and let me know what you think!

"Dream kitchen"

So its been a little crazy around here, maybe not on my blog but in Life. I've been trying really hard to have post at least 3 time a week, and as for 365 I know I haven't been keeping up with it, but I am up loading them when I can. So you may ask what is so crazy going on around my parts of the woods, well, we are in the market of buying a house (you may have seen some of the 365 photos). And we actually put an offer on one,(YIKES) and so far so good, that we even have a house inspection soon. But let me tell ya, IT NEEDS WORK! I was laughing to my hubby one day saying "a women/girl dreams about getting married, having kids and then her dream kitchen". lol. I don't know about you but that's my dream and well 2 out of the 3 have come true. And now the kitchen, well, in order to get that "dream kitchen" we're gonna have to make it. Like I said that house needs work and because of that we'll be able to make the kitchen we want. So far we've come up with a pretty sweet kitchen! below is what I'm think it could be like (this is just the tip of the iceberg on how it will look). We're only doing the inspection and i've already have everything planned out, too soon? lol. God willing everything will be ok and go through.
So most likely in the next few months I won't be posting must. I'm planning to take tons of before and after (and during) photos so that I'll try to update and have some fun post for you of our renovation!

Banner Present

Back at the beginning of June my Niece had her 6th Bday. And had asked me before to make her present special! And how could I say no! On Pinterest some one pined THIS super cute washi tape banner and also THIS present with doilies! I couldn't help but put the 2 together. The tape I use was from Target, I'm not a fan of pink and didn't have any tape on hand that was pink so I used the next best thing *wink*, green and blue. None the less I'm thrilled with the out come! and I'm planning to make many more cute Banners with washi tape! Enjoy!

EP Charming pt 3

The last couple of post I showed the out come of my little challenge using only 5-6 papers to make cards. And I've made 10 awesome cards with the Charming Collection by Echo park. I wanted to show you want is left from the paper I had bought . As you can see there is not much left, although I feel like I could still make a couple more cards. hope the last few post have given you some ideas to use the Journaling cards as the main card front, and maybe even challenge your self to use 5-6 papers and see how many cards you can make.
