Baby it's Cold Outside- party

So lately I've been busy with some fun party stuff. If you follow me on instagram you'll know what I mean. My oldest brother and his wife are having there first child together! Everyone is so excited for them and can't wait to meet little Adam (love that name, and not only for the fact that I'm Eve). When we found out they are having a boy I know right away I needed to put together a shower. A while back on Hostess with the Mostess blog they had a freebie of printable, HERE. Its so sweet and cute, so we took those down loads and made our shower with them. Here are some photos of the decorations I put together with my mom!

 

 

We made a hot cocoa bar/ sweets table! it was a hit!

 

 

 

So happy with the way my circle banner turned out! I want to hang it in my sons room now!

 

My mom thought of hanging baby "laundry", and this is the "wishing" tree with note cards.

Jan. Block Party PT4

I feel so proud of my self that I've created 8 layouts (one is a 2 page layouts, so I guess its 9 pages!). I kinda just blew my mind! Since finishing off the kits I've worked on other project and feel as though I have lost my mojo for scrapbooking. Yet I'm itching to scrap something, something in me is missing and can't get the ball rolling (I even went shopping and bought a few papers, still nothing). So that means I haven't touched the February kit and the March kit will be shipping really soon! Yikes! I need my mojo back!!!

While I'm working on that, here are the last 2 layouts I created using Jan Kit Block Party. For this first one I ended up buy the background paper at my local craft store and knew it would work really well with this kit. I just love the design and knew I was gonna use it as a full background of a layout. From there its pretty simple and straight forward.

The second layout is a 2page, I ended up buying another sheet of the cloud paper cuz I only had scraps left and I just love it with the colorful circle and arrow paper. Thats what I wanted to do with that layout, plus use more of that awesome washi tape! Enjoy!

 

 

Jan. Block Party PT3

For the first layouts title was inspired by my journaling (that doesn't happen). And as for the layout its from Basic Grey Blog an older sketch they happened to have. I really wasn't planning to do a lot of journaling but when I kept looking at the photos I kept remember little bit here and there. I also used some scrap paper from an older Studio Calico Kit.

For the second layout I really like the background paper but didn't know how to use it in other layouts, so I decided to just use the whole page. I usually don't like to use a whole 12x12 sheet for a background because I want to get the most use of one page, but in this case I was running low on ideas and scraps. Enjoy!

 

 

Lady in waiting - layout

Just a fun and simple layout for you guys today. This one is an older one that I haven't got the chance to post. I've been really trying to go through my stash and scrap with what I have. And I ended up buying almost the whole Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Collection when I really wasn't planning on it. So here I am a girl who doesn't like pink is scrapbooking with pink. Don't get my wrong I love the collection its super cute! I'm just having a hard time scrapbooking with it when its me, my hubby and a son. Just trying to make the most of it! Enjoy the layout!

 

Its a Boy -layout

I made this layout a while back, but never got the chance to post it. I used Crate Paper Little Boy Blue collection. When it came out, last year, I loved it and knew it would be prefect for my new born son's photos. The only thing I'm not happy with on this layout is the background (I think). I feel like something missing on the page. I think once I have a craftroom again I'll take a look at it again and change it. but for now Enjoy!

 

 

Jan. Block Party PT2

This first layout I scraplifted from HERE. I was really inspired by the use of the vellum and the journaling pocket she had. So I made it my own and used the pocket that came in the kit to type out all my journaling, and if some one is really interested my finding out what this page is about they can put it out from the top. The journaling talks about some memories I have of our street back in Russia.

The second layout is really simple, and I plan to do some journaling under the title once I get some more info on the photos. They are really old and I don't really remember all the details. Hope you enjoyed! leave a comment thanks!

 

Jan. Block Party Kit PT1

I'm so proud of my self I only scraplifted ONE layout using January Block Party Kit by Studio Calico. At least so far. I've made 6 pages but 2 are part of a 2 page layout. And I've still got more paper and supplies left to make a few more pages. Hopefully I'll think of something with the rest.

OK, for the first layout I was really inspired by THIS Sunday sketch on the Studio Calico Blog. I really liked the idea of having arrows and twines leading the eyes to the photos. And the circles added a fun touch. The only thing that was not in the kit was the grey and white twine and dollies behind the photos.

The second layout was also a Sunday sketch on the Studio Calico Blog that I can't seem to find. It came together quiet quickly and I really wanted to try outlining my paper the way Mercy Tiara does on hers. I'm always inspired by her videos on Youtube! I thought I'd outline the title too so it could stand out a bit more. And the only paper thats not from the kit is the background, I belive its by My Minds Eye and I printed my journaling on my own vellum paper. I would love to hear what you think! Thanks!

 

 

 

Christmas Cards pt4

OK these are the last Christmas cards I have for you guys!... No wait I take that back. Remember I said that I didn't get a chance to use up all my paper that I bought and that I may work on it later in the year. Well that means that I may have more coming later in the year *wink*.
