So this past October my little guy turned One! For his bday I made a sea themed party (i think i blogged about it). When I saw Fancy Pants "Down by the shore" collection I knew it would be perfect with his bday pix. My local craft store had it, which was perfect since I don't really like ordering online. This is the first page out of 6. I scraplifted it from THIS 2 peas video.

House update!
its super late and I'm exhausted from work all week at house, and back at it tomorrow. So, quick update for you guys!
We have counter tops! they got instated on Thursday afternoon. it took a bit longer to install them (from 3pm to 8pm, it was a long day for me since i was there from 10am) but they are in and I can breath a little easier. I was to worry I ordered the "breakfast sitting" area too large, but thankfully it was perfect. boy is our kitchen huge! yikes! Oh and they installed the bathroom counter-top too. I'm not crazy about the color and how its a bit different from the tile but i'm not gonna stress over it now.
So like I said we where at the house all day today, but we got a lot painted. pretty much all the milwork and doors are painted and we even started to take off some of the tape and paper from the bedrooms. We have only a little bit tomorrow of prep and paint tomorrow and then its time to clean, and install some of the fixtures and hopefully unpack some boxes! yikes! I cant believe it till i see it!
lots of tape and paper, that not even half!
Milwork all nice and white with our super cool and dark hardwoods!
Now im off to bed! good night!

House update
We are getting so close to finishing, that all our time lately has been going to the house. Our tile guy finished both bathroom floors yesterday. All we need is to grout, put in the toilet, counter top with the sink and add the shower head and we'll have one working bathroom (top photo). The second bath, or Master bathroom, will take a bit longer because Vanity's are so darn expensive! and we are out of money.
I feel kinda proud of myself for finishing a big job yesterday. We are putting heated floors where ever we have tile. The biggest area is the kitchen and we ordered too much wire for it, but can't cut it because it's a special order. We started the job on Tuesday night but couldn't get it done. So i went the next day and finished it, took me 6 hrs but i did it myself! I had to rewire the whole floor, and kept messing up. Finally when I was done with that, I had to lay down thin-set (type of concrete), I've never done it before so I was Nervous! Really hope the tile guy won't be mad if something is messed up. So next thing is tile and counter tops which we ordered on Tuesday and will be installed on Thursday next week, 27th of June. yay so close!
I'll try to up day again soon!

May Haul
So I haven't been around lately, but I'm really hoping to post at least once a week. No promises. We're really close to getting the house done and I don't know how much time I'll have with crafting and blogging. I've been really inspired with the beautiful paper product that are out there lately and of course the awesome layout pages that come with them. I have a stack of prints that are waiting to be put in my albums that are really old. Like 1950s old. So I got some pretty paper that I thought would go nicely. Plus with my recent trip to NYC I wanted to make sure I documented it well with fun travel themed paper. These products are mostly from Crate Paper, American Crafts, Simple Stories and a bit of Studio Calico.
Can't wait to be in my own craft room playing with all the great Paper!

Yikes! its been too long
It
feels as if I have deserted you, and I guess I really have. Tell you
the truth I had lost my motivation to scrap or blog. But I feel the
need to still keep in touch and update once in a while. I'm not
making any promises. As for loosing my motivation for scrapbooking,
its true. For the last month, I'm so overwhelmed with all the
beautiful pages I see and the colorful new products, but when I sit
down, nothing happens. My fingers don't seem to work right and my
mind is else where. There has been a lot going on. We're even closer
to finishing and moving into our home, I've started quilting,
got back from NYC a few weeks ago, and summer its pretty much here
(my least scrapbooking season of all).
As
for the house, we are working on tile for the floors, cabinets
are installed, counter tops will be sometime this week, and
mill-work will be painted once the tile is done. Oh and the hardwood
is sanded and stained! Its awesome! We're really hoping to be moved
in by 4th of July. We're tired and really want our own space and
home.
Quilting!
I know! Didn’t really think I'd get into it. Last time I did
quilting when I was about 10. My mom showed me how to use the sewing
machine and told me starting making a quilt (I asked her for one, and
we made it together). I finished one to use out doors and it one
interesting experience, I remembered why I didn’t like sewing in
the first place. And I started to make one for my son Ben, but
haven’t finished cuz I keep taking over the dining room when
everyone else would like to have lunch. So I'm waiting to move in and
have my own space to craft before I finish it and start any other
projects.
And
NYC! It was amazing! I totally want to go back, I miss the crazy busy
city! It was a bit of a spontaneous trip with my Mother-in-law,
sister-in-law and my mom, but totally cool! We spent 3 nights and
4days exploring the city and its business. I was telling my hubby
that I wouldn’t want to live there but I would love to be able to
travel there for work for a few days. Its so different from Seattle
or anywhere else I’ve been and we all loved it!
So
other then that, its the same old. Home with Ben, work on the house
and spend time with family. Good news is that I will have new layouts
to share with you all, hopefully soon, and hopefully I'll be
motivated to blog. See ya around!
